A-z album

I have been doing some Los for this album. So far a-f. I have visited places a-o so far so there are more to come once I've scrapped them...the photos are printed though :)

I'm trying to work in order and see as many friends and new places as possible along the way. I started in march and hope to complete I the year x

What she said and did

I finally started my new album this one will be a memory specific for Emily when she is older.  Things she said and did and firsts and things. She is a great age at the moment really chatty and saying such funny things. This will be for her.

This one is about Katie being her best friend..she proudly announced this whilst watching the best friends episode of peppa pig.
We went to the zoo recenty and this is the first time she's even walked near the same side as the elephants so I was v pleased.

More Lo's on a roll...

Well i have been quite busy over the last 24 hours and here is what i have been upto in the scrapbooking world!
This is one of my favs - sorry the quality of the photos are so poor but the light is not good up there at the best of times.
This photo was one of the photoshoots i tried with emily at home but she rarely complys! although she was not looking at the photo i liked the way it turned out!




This next lo was last september.  We visited the Hughes before they "hoped across the pond"! to NYC. I took this photo as i thought i would be last time we see them in the UK but luckily we did squeeze in another meet up.




This next one is of Emily's second birthday.  Suzy and i have worked together for a few years now but only really become friends through pregnancy and the girls.  I am so glad to have found such a great friend and the girls love each other too (Most of the time) They have spent all of their birthdays together so far and lets hope there are many more to come :)




This was actually Emily at Katie (aboves) second birthday it was fancy dress and she went as princess peppa although she was not very keen on this costume as you can tell!




Emily developed a love of the tv prog Max & Ruby and she loves the little plush toys she has of them i felt this is something that should be remembered





Finally is an A4 size lo although you cant really tell from the picture.  Another piccie from the photoshoot which i thought i would scrap for a different album.

Some evening inspiration

I'm glad I made up some page kits a while back as I felt like doing a lo and it was made easier by having most of what I needed to make a page together. Here is a lo of Emily's first birthday that should have been scrapped long before now :)

This is using mls paper. Our trip to centre parch last yrwhich I thought I'd better scrap before this yrs!

Here is my effort for this weeks challenge on uks. My teamies have inspired me to scrap!

Well I finally finished uma's sketch challenge from my uks team. It's loosely similar! I started weeks ago and struggled with a title then Emily cut I yo...you can just about see the slits along te bottom...so title and journal lung is about that!!!

My last crop :(

Well today was our last crop at the community centre as they no longer want us there - bit disappointing really but its like a house and the people that are living there we don't think can be bothered to run groups anymore and as none of us live in that immediate community that was reason enough to get rid of us!

Anyway despite that we had a lovely day with lots of cakes and sarnies and junk food so that was nice.

I did manage to do 4 lo's and these are what i produced.

The first is one of my fav bo bunny ranges...these are the 4 little ones on emilys first birthday...i hadnt scrapped any of her first birthday until this one...there are plenty more to come!

This second lo is some more newer bo bunny - sweet treats as we now seem very into cake making - actually she is expecting to do some today when she wakes up but this was our first proper home cooking session!

This next lo is the same paper range but i have scrapped some pictures of her pretty dress she wore on her first birthday party.

Finally this last one is a sarahs cards kit and a photo of my friend and i and out toddlers

I have really enjoyed my crop over the last 3 years and will miss it and seeing the ladies however i do plan to continue scrapbooking...i might even go and do some now! Thanks for reading x

Saturday crafting

Hello this was the lo from last week I never uploaded but I was quite pleased with it.
This next lo is this weeks weekly challenge on us. The challenge was to use a sketch, shades of one colour this is actually green and a one word title. It was nice to scrap some old pics too.
This third one I have wanted to do for a while but couldn't get the papers to work for me bu I have now!
This is some American crafts that worked well with the black and white photo.
This next lo is my final one to show you. The papers came this week they were reduced at atdml so I couldn't resist. The lo is of Colchester castle park and the 4 kids swinging together before they moved to America......hope u like this mel x

Sunday scrapbooking

Hello and thanks for coming back to see what i have been upto.
Amanda talked about the simple recipie monthly challenges over on uks yesterday which i had a look at there was a colour scheme, hot pink, brown and stone grey, a sketch and a further suggestion of using textures. The idea of this was to look at old stash in a new way so i dug out a very old gogo kit and came up with this, its not as much pink as i would have liked, the sketch is there or thereabouts and there is texture in the lace and cupcake and flower. This is october 2010 the girls first birthday party. Well my second challenge today was to use the recipie for an a4 sized lo...well as you can see from the colour scheme that didnt actually work but i sort of used the sketch and this time i dug into an old sarahscards kit so not all was lost as it was using up old bits and pieces.

I have quite enjoyed doing some los this week so we will see what else is in store and if i am feeling inspired to create anything else later.

Another week another uks challenge!

So i promised to be a better team memeber and contribute more over on my uks team this year so i decided to do the second weekly challenge. The challenge was something old, something new and some bling.
Well the photo is new - taken NYE and one of the most recently i have printed. The papers are old, possibly 2009 but not totally sure i have certainly had them for quite a white and as i didnt buy much last year i don't think they are 2011 papers. The bling is the title which is glittery.
My crop is not running this weekend so no crafting for me there although i am hoping to meetup with a crafty friend next weekend to turn out a lo or two...hopefully i might get back to you with something else before then.

2012 scrapbooking...

hello everyone and welcome to 2012
well i did promise not to leave it so long with my scrapbooking and my blogging but i have been busy although i havent posted anything.
Each December i like to do the dec daily and this year i did it again although i haven't got around to finishing it yet. I have managed to do the first 20 pages so i am getting there. I haven't got around to uploading any pages yet but i will some point.
I have got a bit bored of it and although i didnt want to start anything else incase i didnt go back to it, i am trying to be a better team member for my uks team so i thought i would do the weekly challenge for jan week 1. Sadly i did not manage to find my gold pen so couldnt do the doodling but i have used the circle and old stash, this was an old sarahs cards kit for 2010 so i think that counts....
I have lots more ideas of things to scrap including liking this weeks pencillines sketch - lineon the right side of my blog so i may have to give that a go.
