Well another busy saturday I have managed to do 3 lo's so far. I wasnt going to do the weekly challenge this week as I could not think of anything animal related and the one or two photos I did have of animals certainly did not go with the colour theme! In the end I found these pics on my sisters profile on fb. They were perfect for the challenge and being B&W I could use the colour scheme (black, red, gold) too. So in the end I did manage to do the challenge in time. I have used making memories 5th avenue papers, journalling papers and embellies. These were from the April 2008 scrapagogo kit.
This second lo was inspired by this weeks mojo holder (see link to blog on right hand side if you are interested in looking at their sketches) the photos were taken at my mums wedding party last November. The papers are the new Little Yellow Bycycle Love Letters - newly added to my collection this week!

A few more...
Well I have been busy making some bits and pieces this weekend. I decided it would be nice to have an album of mums wedding party as there are so many family members there so will be a good keep sake of all the family. So to start the album I thought a wedding photo should be included. Out of all the photos this was my favourite one. I love the way the photographer as made the photo black and white and re coloured the flowers. I have used Fancy pants splendid papers for this lo. This second lo was made for the weekly challenge to scrap a winter photo in summer colours. I have used the Fancy pants artic chill paper and was quite pleased with how this came out. I also got to use my new maya road calendar stamp too.

Saturday Scrapping Time
I have been busy scrapbooking most of the day..I like to do that when I am home alone and have peace!
I have made 4 lo's in total including the scrap like you mean it challenge. I am sure i am going to be through the backlog of photos soon and then what will I do?
This lo is made using items from my December Gogo Kit. I had not used the kit before today. This lo has the bazzil dots cardstock, then October afternoon paterned papers. There are also some fancy pants buttons on the lo. The photos were taken at Wembley when we went to see Race of Champions back in December. The three photos along the bottom are, Vettel & Schumacha, Hamilton and Coulthard. This lo was inspired by the mojoholder blog no 94 This second lo also was made using the December Gogo Kit. The photo is my dads house all decorated for xmas with all the lights. the papers are October Afternoon as is the lettering and the shaped paper is Crate - prudence.

This final LO is made using October afternoon Weathervane paper which seems to be one of my favourites at the moment. The photo was taken recently of my with my little brother...he is not so little anymore and although I am tall, he actually makes me feel small! This lo was inspired by the mojoholder sketch no 93.

This weeks challenge for the scrap like u mean it was to use Chipboard. I have really gone off chipboard lately so that was a challenge in itself! But I have produced this lo. I quite like how it came out but also pleased that I used these photos that I printed that I wasn't sure would ever get used...
I have used the Sassfrass Lass "Happy Place" papers for the clouds and the piece up the side. I also used the happy place chipboard piece and sticker along the bottom.

Using up kits
Today I have been on a mission to use up old scrapagogo kits again. I wanted to use up the September kit but had too many items left. In the end I managed to do 2 lo's one from the March and one from the January kits which just about finished those off.
This first lo was made using the March 2008 kit. This paper was my favourite and I deliberately saved it for once I had been to a butterfly house or farm for the perfect photos. I took James and Becky to Jimmys farm in September and the butterfly farm there had opened so I was very glad to get these photos and put the paper to good use. This PP is by K&Co. This second lo was made using the last few bits from the January 2008 kit. I again liked this paper and was waiting for the perfect photo. I looked back through the inspiration booklet and the paper had been used for an "old abbey" photo and I remembered the photos from Warwick Castle and thought they went well together. The PP here is all MM Noteworthy range.

Scrap Like you Mean It Challenges
I have decided to do the uks weekly slymi challenges. I have an American Crafts 8.5x11 album and about 40 sleeves for it so I thought I would use that album for this challenge. I have done a lot of scrapping in this size but landscape previously but never portrait.
Here is the first challenge. For the first week the challenge was to scrap your favourite colours. As everyone knows - mine is pink - every shade - its great. So on this lo I decided to go for pink overkill! I have used the hearts lace cardstock, the hearts are cut from scenic route loveland paper and the background cream with pink spots is mm noteworthy. This is the second challenge which was to use hearts or stars on the lo. As I had used hearts on the first lo I decided to go for stars on the second. This photo was taken on Nov 2007 at a book signing. I have wanted to scrap it ever since but never found anything appropriate. When I see the challenge the photo and title came to me immediately. I then looked through my stash and found the Blonde moments - friends juntion papers and the lo came together quite quickly.

Colchester Croppers
Well today I have been to colchester croppers scrapbook crop. It was the first time I had ever been to a crop and I was very excited about going. I decided on good advice to not take stacks of stuff with me I didn't need and I was glad I listened. In the end I just took my November scrapagogo kit which was pretty much untouched and I had planned 6 lo's in the hope I might get most of them done. I was really luck and managed to do all 6 lo's with about an hour to spare as well. The lo's have been inspired largely by the gogo team but I am pleased with what I made. I have also pretty much used up the entire kit too which is good for me.
Here are my 6 lo's from today:

My day off
Well I have had today off work as I fancied a bit of a scrapping day so I have been good and made sure thats what I have been doing with at least half my day.
This lo was inspired by the Gogo booklet. This is the 3 of them having finished the Great South Run.
This morning I noticed a photo of Amanda and I which I had not scrapped and then out the corner of my eye I noted the Cosmo Cricket Hello Sunshine papers...they were perfect so after a while I came up with this lo.
Having sorted out my November scrapagogo kit the other night for the crop on Saturday I decided that I really needed to start using my October kit. I loved the October kit when I got it - mainly because of the owl page from the Pink Paisley Vintage Moon Collection I think. But there were some other nice bits and pieces in there. The only problem is that I like to co-ordinate my photos to the colours of the photos and here I really really struggled. I the end I put my mind too it and managed to come up with 3 lo's. I have another in mind but I think that will be as much as I can get out of this kit.
This lo was inspired by Laura who is part of the gogo team and its a bit of a lift of the lo she did in the booklet. I used this lo for the weekly challenge on uks this week which was to use 12 of something (Cream circles), a celebration (Iain finishing the South Run with a PB and us going out to celebrate with dinner) and buttons.
This lo is pictures from when we were in the IOW in October. We got the Hovercraft over from Southampton and then used the train to get around where we wanted to on the Island. This lo was inspired by Laura who is part of the gogo team and its a bit of a lift of the lo she did in the booklet. Happy New Year!
Well I haven't been the best blogger lately. I did make quite a number of scrapbook pages before Xmas but as they were presents i did not want to blog them...just incase the recipients were following my blog!
Anyway christmas was nice and mum bought me a new album and some scrapbooking gifts from Artbase so that was nice to open Xmas day. I wasn't too well over Xmas and New Year with this nasty cold and cough but I lived through it and am coming through the other side now.
I think this year I need to tell you more about my lo's on my blogs rather than just posting the picutres so thats what I am going to try and do!
Today i printed some photos and prepared for my first crop which I am going to in Colchester next weekend. I am quite excited about that especially now that I know what I am hopine to do. Someone (you know who you are) said i should not take "the kitchen sink" although she really mean heaps of stash cos not even I would take the kitchen sink .. be too scared they would get me doing the washing up...anyway she suggested some page kits. So in the end my I spied my November and December scrapagogo kits sitting on the bed still so I dug out enough photos to make 6 lo's with the November kit. Lets see what I actually achieve!lol
The other thing I did today was finally backed up all my photos on to the hardrive my brother & sister got me for Xmas so I feel much better knowing those are done - i can acutally clear off some memory cards now! I also went through my photos and jotted down all the scrapbook pages i needed to do from the photos that I had taken but not used. There were 28 subjects so I guess that should keep me going for a little while!

I managed to do this lo today. This is my friends baby. He was a newborn in the top picture and 2 weeks old in the bottom. I went to stay for a few days and little darling slept all day...but was up all night so I thought the title was very apt for this lo! I have used pink paisley vintage moon papers and a few oddmets along the way.
Happy new year everyone reading this!
